We will pick up our valued guests from the above boarding points and set off. Via Akçakoca, the gateway of Düzce province opening to the Black Sea, we will head towards Zonguldak, the land of black diamonds. Our first stop will be Kdz. Ereğli, the largest of Zonguldak's eight districts. Here we will visit the Cehennemağzı Caves, which have become famous through mythological stories and are home to the legend of Heracles and Hades, the God of the Underworld. After our cave visit, we will take a short walk along the coastline, fully enjoying both the natural beauty of the region and the calming view of the sea. Then we will visit the Alemdar Ship, one of Turkey's important naval warship museums, witnessing a story of heroism dating back to the War of Independence years. We then continue our journey to the capital of labor. With the discovery of the first coal in the region in 1829, Zonguldak began to take its important place on the stage of the country's history. Accompanied by our guide's commentary and beautiful scenery, we will arrive in Zonguldak. Then we head to the Zonguldak Mining Museum, Turkey's first and only mining museum. Recalling the lines of Orhan Veli Kanık, "The stream of Zonguldak flows black. Not a black mark on the face, but coal black. This is how bread money is earned...", and after seeing the Miners' Martyrs Monument, we leave here and, via a 875-meter walking path, will see the Gökgöl Cave, one of Turkey's important caves, about 350 million years old. After our visit to the Gökgöl Cave, we go to Zonguldak city center for an evening meal break. Then we head to Zonguldak Train Station. Our train will depart at 23:00. Accommodation is in sleeping cars on the Turistik Karaelmas Express.
Dinner: To be taken in Zonguldak, not included in the tour price.
After our pleasant train journey, on Sunday morning our train will stop in Çankırı. There, we first visit the Çankırı Salt Cave, one of the world's notable underground formations with a history of 5,000 years. While strolling among the massive salt blocks, sculptures and natural salt galleries inside the cave, we enjoy both the coolness and the unique scenery. Then we visit the Photography and Radio Museum, where we see radio types from past to present, old cameras and nostalgic devices. Next, we move on to the Çankırı Archaeology Museum, where after examining artifacts spanning a wide range of history from the Hittites to the Byzantines, we set out to discover the registered houses located on the historic streets of the city. Then we board our train again and head toward Kalecik. Our train will stop in Kalecik. In Kalecik, famous for its vineyards and grapes, we taste local flavors and take photo stops while walking through its stone streets. After our enjoyable tour, we return to our train and begin our final journey toward Ankara. Arriving at Ankara Train Station at around 8:00 PM, we complete our train adventure. From here, our return journey begins with the vehicle waiting for us. We bid farewell to you, our valued Gnr Turizm guests, until the next tour.
Breakfast: Will be taken on the train, not included in the tour price.
Lunch: Will be taken on the train or in Kalecik, not included in the tour price.
